Charleston......South Carolina?!

I new slight change in plans. Instead of Champaign-Urbana, I will be moving to Charleston with a target date of June 23rd. I've noticed that nobody knows where Charleston, Illinois. No not South Carolina. Nor West Virginia. It's about 45 to an hour southeast of Champaign. It is going to be quite a change. I'll be there on my own...on an island.

Running has been going quite well. Since the last post i've ran 9 times. Mileage- 5, 2, 2, 3(with some speed), 6, 2, 5( heavy speed), 4 and now today I ran 7 miles. It's feeling great. My high mileage for a week had been 15 a few weeks ago. Then I dropped to 14 and 13.

Weekly total- Sunday-2 , Monday- 5 with 2X2min., 2X2min. at about my goal race pace. Wednesday- 4 miles(34.04) Friday- 7 at approx. 9 min pace. I did it on the treadmill.
So that is 18 miles. My new current high.

Ipodwhilerunning- Red Hot Chili Peppers -Stadium Arcadium:Mars and some of Jupiter.

I've seen two really good movies that are very different recently. Bonnie and Clyde. And Green Street Hooligans. Check 'em out.

Back in Action

Updating. New shit has come to light.

I am still with starbucks. I am hitting the six month plateau in a few days. Getting that fat 35 cent per hour raise. Super stoked about it too. I am transferring to a store in Urbana, IL sometime between now and some point in July. I was kind of stressed about it the other day but like a lot of other things lately, the stress fades away. I attribute that and a lot of other things that are going well in my life right now to mostly one person. She makes me so happy. Thanks Sarah.

Running has been going tremendously well. Did a little 3 miler today.

Time- 25.42
Route - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1852351

Finished up April with 56 miles. Kind of encouraging...but also a little shitty because of the knowledge that I have ran 56 miles in a single week before. Oh well. Fade away. Onward.

Listened to Abbey Road on the run today. Some classic tracks. Here Comes The Sun, Come Together, Something, Oh! Darling

Abbey Road and Sgt. Peppers have to be my top 2 beatles albums

I'm going to try and update at least weekly so check back

Facing the cold and the night

I woke up late this morning. I had originally planned to run this morning before working at 11. Waking up late derailed my plan and I didn't allow myself enough time to get it done. So I was supposed to work today 11-4. I was thinking the whole day about running as soon as I got off. As fate would have it Lauren felt sick today and I, being the kind gentleman I am, offered to cover her shift until 6 so she could go home. No biggie, I thought, I'll just run at the gym tonight. I get home and the gym card is missing. Piss. That leaves me one option. I had to run outside in the darkness with the biting wind in my face.

Day 3- 20.03 running time, ~ 2 mile (i'm rounding down to the nearest 1/2 mile for the streak)

It didn't end up being to bad.

Ship It.

Day 2

It has only been two days , but i'm am excited about my focus so far. There are a lot of things on my plate that I want to get done and i've put a plan in action to try and achieve them. I've contacted the MBA director at QU to schedule a meeting to possibly start taking classes. It's all happening.

Day 2- 2 miles
Treadmill 9min+ pace

Check back daily for updates

The Streak Begins....

It has been a long absence once again. I don't know where I go for months at a time, but somehow I just don't post for a while. I'm challenging myself to see how many days in a row I will run. Today was day one.

A run consists of at least a 1 continuous mile on land or treadmill.

Day 1- 2 miles on treadmill. 9.30ish pace. Slow stuff.

Have to work tomorrow at 5 then day two's run will commence.

Reign o'er me

First of all, I liked the remake PJ did of the classic Who song, "Love, Reign O'er me". I finally saw the movie, Reign over me. Adam Sandler was intense. The guy has really become a hell of an actor. What a performance. Don Cheadle was great as always too. He's always a good 2 man. But sandler....i'd recommend seeing it to see his performance. The movie was very emotionally intense. It had some pacing issues i think, but nothing that really derailed the film. It was funny at points, but not comedic if that makes sense. I liked it a lot.

Reign over me- 3 1/2 stars.

Running. It is still going well. I've committed to a long build up that is ultimately going to reach a climax at the 2008 Chicago Marathon. I've got a lot of work to do.

Last week-
Monday- 3 miles
Wednesday-5 miles
Friday-2 miles
Saturday-2 miles

Total-12 miles

Today- 4 miles with 4 X 2 min. at 4-5 rpe

6 on Wednesday!
